This Saturday, May 29th, Mercury goes Retrograde and appears to go backwards across the sky for about 3 weeks. We call this period a “Mercury Retrograde”.
Of course, Mercury does not really go backwards. Depending upon the relative orbital positions of the Earth and Mercury with respect to the Sun, Mercury only appears to be moving backward.
The planet Mercury rules communication in all forms—listening, writing, reading, and speaking. Mercury is also associated with all types of communications, like negotiations and contracts. It rules travel, automobiles, shipping, and mail. For those who follow astrology, these times are associated with confusion, delay, and frustration. Think electronic problems, email blunders, and frustrated travel plans!
The key to dealing with a Mercury Retrograde is the prefix “Re” as in rethink, rebook, rearrange, repair, rewrite… you get the idea! Try to remain flexible and allow extra time for travel. Reconsider signing any new contracts that you are unsure of. Review your email responses and re-check reservations before you take a trip.
Mercury Retrograde allows you to slow down and reassess current plans. Take the time to reflect and reanalyze but refrain from making any major decisions until the Retrograde ends and Mercury is once again direct on June 22nd. #mercuryretrograde #freeastrology #bmkpublishing
