The October 20th full moon is called the Hunter’s Full Moon. The leaves are falling from trees, the deer are fattened, and it’s time to begin storing up meat for the long winter ahead.
Sometimes this Full Moon is referred to as the Blood or Sanguine Full Moon. Right on the heels of Mercury Retrograde ending on October 18th comes an intense, fiery full moon in Aries, the aggressive cardinal fire sign that sits opposite Libra. This Full Moon will be at 27degrees 26 minutes in the sign of Aries in the 5th house which deals with your children. With the Moon (a water sign) in impulsive Aries (a fire sign) this energy may encourage a person have a quick emotional reaction to a situation or to express their feelings without thinking. Be aware of this tendency – remember fire; water create steam!
Augmenting this, the Aries Full Moon will be opposing the Sun which is in its fall in the sign of Libra in the 11th house. The Sun in Libra (air sign) expresses its individual identity through harmony, balance, and one-to-one relationships. Mars conjunct the Sun and opposite the Moon will add energy to the impulsivity of the Moon. If you have them, this combination could bring some tension into your relationships with your children for a few weeks.
